Members of The Big Sur Land Trust explore the land through Extraordinary Hikes as a valued connection to the natural world. For 2011, these unmatched outdoor experiences come in three categories for members and their guests to enjoy. “Half Day Adventures" are distinctive educational hikes led by program experts on selected Land Trust properties (choose from eight dates between April 16 and September 10). Members are also invited to explore Glen Deven Ranch or Mitteldorf Preserve on their own by registering for a “Personal Hike” with the BSLT office. And with our NEW! “Customized Hikes" members can enjoy hosting family and friends or out of town guests for a thrilling outdoor experience at Glen Deven Ranch or Mitteldorf Preserve with one of BSLT’s experienced Hike Leaders. Be sure to dress appropriately for hiking and weather conditions. Bring ample water and a bag lunch or snacks. Hikes cancelled in the event of severe rain and/or weather.
